About this office
Located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, the Howard Hanna Allen Tate Center City office has served the urban metro market since 2000. Our location at 233 North Tryon Street, next to the Dunhill Hotel and across from the Carolina Theater, features both traditional and flex work space. It is home to 20 Realtors who serve the four wards of Uptown, as well as nearby neighborhoods in Dilworth, Wesley Heights, NoDa and more. The large, welcoming lobby includes a rotating gallery featuring local artists. Howard Hanna Allen Tate offers a full range of services, including mortgage, insurance, title, and relocation services.
The four wards of Center City are a collection of diverse urban neighborhoods located in and surrounding Charlotte’s vibrant central business district. They offer some of the city’s top cultural, sports and dining destinations.
Housing options range from high-rise condominiums to stately turn-of-the-century Victorian homes to houses for singles and growing families. These communities are highly walkable and many are close to Charlotte’s popular Lynx Blue Line, a light rail system that connects Uptown to popular South End on down to Pineville, a suburb to the south. The Blue Line also extends to NoDa, The Arts District, and north to UNC Charlotte with future expansion plans to Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Businesses range from design firms and independent retail shops to government centers and some of the country’s most influential financial, real estate, engineering and legal services companies. Also located in Center City: Bank of America Stadium, home to the Carolina Panthers, Truist Field, home to the Charlotte Knights, and Spectrum Center, home to the Charlotte Hornets and a venue for concerts and other events. Cultural venues include the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Discovery Place, ImaginOn, the Mint Museum Uptown, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture.
