About Alliance
Known as the Carnation City, Alliance was formed as a result of the intersection of two major railroads, and has remained a hub of activity ever since. Centrally located near three airports and with access to Interstates 76, 77 and 80, Alliance is a convenient distance of 18 miles northeast of Canton, 55 miles southeast of Cleveland, and 79 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Area attractions include six city parks, Beech Creek Botanical Garden, Glamorgan Castle, Feline Historical Museum, Jupiter Studios, J.B. Solomon’s Flea Market and Troll Hole Art Gallery. The Carnation Festival, celebrated annually in Alliance, attracts visitors from all over the area, providing a week of exciting community activities. Various parades and over 30 events take place, including the crowning of the Carnation Queen. An abundance of food is available from local vendors and national franchises alike. The festival brings residents and visitors together for a wonderful time.
Divided into three main sections, the east side where industrial growth has occurred, west side with retail and commercial growth, and south side with residential growth, Alliance has it all. Alliance offers options for higher education such as the University of Mount Union and the Robert T. White School of Practical Nursing. The Alliance real estate market has been undergoing revitalization with the building of many new and desirable homes.
