Dora Lee exemplifies “The Best of the Best.” A hard worker, she is dedicated and tenacious matching the buyer to the property, helping dreams come true for both buyers and sellers. Raised in a Navy family, Dora Lee understands relocation! She is now at home in Portsmouth. Her son Brett, a former High School Honor Roll student at Norfolk Academy and graduate of the University of Virginia, now Brett is Senior Project Manager for Appian, a technology consulting firm. On Nov. 3, 2009 he and wife Lauren made Dora Lee a Grandmother to Hannah Grace Shomaker and in 2013 added Eva Ruth Shomaker to our family. Dora Lee has lived in the Tidewater area since 1983, enjoyed sailing the Chesapeake Bay and a competitive game of racquetball and now enjoys the challenging game of golf. Active in the community, she volunteers many hours and talents as a Circle Member of the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters. Dora Lee actively supports the community in its efforts to raise funds and awareness for our local area children and adult AIDS victims, Child Abuse Center, and many other worthy causes. Dora Lee has also served as a Board Member and Officer of Community Alternatives Management Group and Community Alternatives Inc., non-profit organizations which provide housing, training, and employment for mentally and physically challenged adults in the Tidewater area.  Dora Lee is also on the Advisory Board to the non-profit Judeo-Christian Park Place School, which educates at risk children in the area who are failing to meet the standards of public school second through fifth grades. She has volunteered as a mediator helping to resolve disputes through mediation and served as an Officer on the Board of Trustees of the Better Business Bureau’s Dispute Settlement Center.
