Gary and Laurie are full-time realtors with a combined 40+ years of experience and bring a wealth of knowledge of the real estate process and Hampton Roads area, to both buyers and sellers. As lifelong residents of Virginia Beach, Gary and Laurie's knowledge of the area runs deep. Both were raised in military households and attended Virginia Beach Public Schools. The Kennedy Team's mission is simple – lead with integrity and honesty, put in the hard work, and keep it simple and straight forward.
Gary's previous experience in the building industry as a distribution rep and Laurie's years of working as Assistant Store Manager of Leggett Dept. Store gave them the tools needed to offer the highest level of customer service, organization, and negotiation skills for their real estate clients. Gary and Laurie have closed more than $240 million in volume, helping more than 1,000 families buy, sell, or relocate.
Gary and Laurie have received numerous awards over the years from the Hampton Roads Realtor Association such as Circle of Excellence for 16 years and the National Sales Excellence Award. They’re also proud of their company awards such as Top Sales Agent, Top Listing Agent, Top Relocation Platinum Agent, and other Howard Hanna awards such as the Spark Plug Award, Loyal Service Award, and the Green Penguin Award.
This duo spent their lives volunteering throughout the 757. Gary in the Jaycees working to grow the popular ECSC and their pro series as well as the Flame of Hope Memorial Project at Oceana for continued awareness of the POWs and MIAs of the Vietnam War, and Laurie at Norfolk General Hospital, volunteering at "Make A Wish," as well as holding the title of President of the Herons Cove Condo Association. Laurie currently volunteers at Thalia United Methodist Church. Gary, once a single dad, also enjoyed coaching his young son in youth baseball, basketball, and assisting as scout leader. They are now the proud grandparents to five boys and one beautiful girl.
Gary and Laurie are driven by outdoor fun – enjoying biking, camping, skeet shooting, and a round of golf. Pickle ball is next on their list!
