Jennifer Vogel ABR, LRS, SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist)

Jennifer sees her real estate career as helping her clients go from the life they have to the life they dream about. She loves to stay in touch with her clients and see how they live in homes she sold them, or talk to people whose houses she sold and have moved on to their next chapter. Jennifer grew up in beautiful Southern Pines, N.C. and always thought she'd be a writer. Like many people, she has had two careers. First, she was a reporter, working in N.C. newspapers both before and after college. Later, she moved to New York for a graduate degree. She met her Tar Heel husband Vann while living in New York, and as young marrieds they lived in there, in Boston, and New Jersey.  A love of houses, rehabbing, decorating, and most of all, people drew her into real estate. In 2009, as her three children were moving through school in suburban Basking Ridge, N.J. she started her second career, particularly interested in helping Relocation buyers who moved for jobs like she did with her family.  When two of the kids selected N.C. for college she knew her love for Carolina blue had not fallen on deaf ears. Jennifer successfully continued her practice in long-chosen Asheville. A recent highlight was listing and selling a grand Grove Park beauty for $200,000 over asking. Yet she confesses to a soft spot for young clients buying their first-time home!

Jennifer likes easy hikes, delicious dinners, gallery openings, writers' readings, all the fun things that brought her as a part-timer to Asheville in 2006. In the volunteer world, she proudly supports Homeward Bound, Pisgah Legal, Women for Women, Manna Food Bank and other non-profits. She is on the advisory board for the Governor's Western Residence, which is the Governor's Western North Carolina home, as well as the Executive Mansion Fund in Raleigh.
