I am a proud native of Black Mountain, NC. I received my BS in Communication from Appalachian State University, where I met and married my college sweetheart. We feel so fortunate to have raised our two children in this beautiful mountain town and amazing community. We are a real estate family, as my husband is a commercial real estate broker. Our daughter attends University of North Carolina at Greensboro and our son is a high school student at Owen High School.
Living in this community has made serving in it important to me, and I have been very involved in the local schools. I have served as a Girls on the Run coach, on PTOs at all different school levels, on the Owen Middle and High School Advisory Boards, and the Owen High School Athletic Booster Club.
As a family, we love to soak up everything these spectacular mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, snow skiing, or boating on Lake James! We never take for granted living in Western North Carolina. Making this area our home has been a dream come true!
I have spent much of my adult life serving others, both in the business world and within my community. As your professional real estate agent, I look forward to serving your needs, too.
After finishing school and prior to my real estate career, I worked as an insurance agent for Liberty Mutual, then served as a substitute teacher in the Buncombe County school system. As an insurance agent, I developed a strong work ethic and dedication to client service, helping homeowners with their insurance needs. While substitute teaching in the schools, I strengthened my organizational and communication skills and my love for teaching others. The combination of my experience in these very diverse fields makes it easy for me to develop meaningful personal and business relationships and navigate the intricacies of real estate.
