Raised in the Northwest, she spent her childhood in Boise, Idaho, where a structured upbringing instilled discipline and determination. Her teenage years in Portland, Oregon, introduced her to a more communal, free-spirited environment—her father, a NW fishing guide outfitter, taught her the value of cooperation and the hands-on skills she gained by renovating homes together.

In her twenties, Sheri’s adventurous spirit led her to a role as a tour manager assistant for a renowned rock band, ultimately bringing her to the East Coast. While earning her Master’s in Occupational Therapy at Russell Sage College, she balanced strict academic standards with raising two spirited young men. During this time, second homes allowed her family to embrace all the outdoor adventures and activities—nurturing resilience, adaptability, and a profound appreciation for nature.
