FROM THE BEGINNING When my mother suggested that I think about a career in real estate, I laughed - a lot. I was a single mom with a full-time job AND two toddlers - how would I manage? Yet, as the old saying goes, my mother really did know best! Since 2002, my real estate career has continued to bless me in so many ways. As a consistent multi-million dollar producer, I have assisted many buyers and sellers in successful transactions, made lasting friendships, and built a rewarding referral business. I enjoy working with residential home sales and new construction. First-time homebuyers are always welcome - this is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job!
Born and raised here, I am proud to call Alamance County home. Nestled in the heart of the Piedmont, Alamance County offers a quality of life unsurpassed with a short drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the North Carolina coastline. To ensure that I can offer my clients the highest level of service, I earned designations that reflect my commitment to further my education and experience. CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) is held by less than 4% of realtors nationwide. GRI (Graduate of Realtor Institute) represents over 90 hours of continuing education. In an ever changing real estate market, learning is always a priority.
In addition, I am a member of the Alamance County MLS, the Triad MLS, and the Triangle MLS - reaching realtors across the heart of North Carolina. I currently serve as a State Director for Alamance Caswell Homebuilders Association Board of Directors. I am a past member of the Alamance MLS Board of Directors, and the Burlington Alamance County Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors. I am a member of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
GIVING BACK IS GOOD BUSINESS! I have always believed that 'giving back is good business'. The people in Alamance County have made my success possible so serving my community is important to me. In 2017, I danced as a local celebrity for Dancing with the Little Pink Stars and raised almost $75,000. In 2018, my participation with the Pink Ribbon Fund at Alamance Regional Medical Center raised almost $45,000. In 2020, I was chosen as one of 25 Community Champions for Alamance Regional Medical Center/Cone Health's 25th Anniversary Celebration and raised over $2,500 for the charitable foundation. I served six years on the Board of Directors for Alamance County Meals on Wheels, serving two of those as President. In 2020, I took a huge leap of faith and ran for one of four seats on the Alamance County Board of Education (School Board) in the General Election. I successfully secured a seat collecting over 40,000 votes. I am quick to tell folks I am not a politician...but rather a passionate parent with a small business who loves calling Alamance County home! Over the first two years, I have learned so much about myself and my community.
KEEPING IT REAL When I'm not helping folks make fabulous deals in real estate, I enjoy spending time with the four humans who keep me grounded and MY WHY front and center: my husband Justin is a builder who I met early in my career, my oldest son Jynsen (28) and daughters, Ashley (26) and Katie (15). Oh, and let's not forget the furry family members - three labrador retrievers, Ella, Sadie and Rip and my grandogs, Foofer, Winnie & Mila. Chocolate, coffee and bubble baths keep me balanced too! :)
