Karen Small is an interesting person with life experience to spare. She is also one heck of a smart, dedicated Realtor.
Originally from the Albany area, she earned a BFA in theater design and technology and costume design from SUNY Purchase, moved to Brooklyn before it was even fashionable, and spent 15 years working in technical theater in New York City, including 14 years designing costumes for Jennifer Muller/The Works Dance, and seven years managing Izquierdo Studio, a costume, prop, and set-design studio. In those roles, she earned her stripes for her resourcefulness, integrity, and unparalleled professionalism. She also bought and renovated an 1800s Italianate four-story townhouse, which led her to develop a passion for real estate.
