Ellen Tippi Read

I am a Norfolk native and am happy to be living and raising my children here and enjoying all our community has to offer. I truly love my hometown, not just for the friendliness of the people, the fabulous diversity, amazing arts scene, outstanding restaurants and mild climate, but for the truly special  community atmosphere.

I received a B.A. from The University of Pennsylvania in American Civilization, and had a career in interior design before real estate and have four children currently attending both public and private schools in the area.  I enjoy volunteering and fundraising for their schools and have gained much insight into the many school choices our area affords.

I have been working in residential real estate in Hampton Roads since the fall of 2012 and enjoy working with both buyers looking for the right property to call home, as well as with sellers to sell their homes for the best price in the least amount of time. I was honored by the Hampton Roads REALTORS Association Circle of Excellence with the Bronze Award two years in a row.

I grew up in an old home in Ghent and learned to love the renovation process. I have owned and renovated three homes of my own and built one new construction. I understand first-hand the needs of a busy family and work hard to ensure my clients expectations are met and exceeded in every transaction.
