R.J. “Hock” Hockensmith, CCIM, came to Virginia in 1968 after an Air Force enlistment and six years as owner-operator of a retail business.

Bringing that retail marketing experience with him, Hock started as a licensed real estate agent at a large Northern Virginia company.  In 1970 he opened his own company in Warrenton, VA.  During those first 20 years he learned all phases of the real estate business and in 1988 earned his CCIM designation and started specializing in commercial-investment property.

Along the way Hock was honored to serve as President of his Board and honored by his colleagues with the Code of Ethics Award and selected as Broker of the Year in 1974.

Hock is a Realtor® member of the Local, State and National Associations; the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and several national listing services.

Now with Howard Hanna Roy Wheeler Realty in the 53rd year of his career, Hock finds it enjoyable and rewarding to help buyers and sellers in his specialty area of commercial-investment property.
