I was born in Florida where my dad was stationed in the US Navy. After 2 years, he was transferred to NAS Norfolk. My mom worked as a bookkeeper for 4 years before we came to Virginia Beach.

In 1977, while my dad went on a Mediterranian tour, my mom got her real estate license and became an agent with Larasan Realty. Just before my dad retired from the navy, he also got licensed. By then, my mom became a broker and opened her own real estate company, Virginia Heritage Realty, and my dad became her Associate Broker.

Growing up, I was exposed to various aspects of real estate, such as home-showings, rentals, investments and property management by my parents who are both retired, but still active in property management.

After high school, I moved to Roanoke, Virginia where I worked in retail and attended Virginia Western Community College. During this time, I expanded my interest and appreciation of art and photography. After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, I worked as a layout artist for Auto Trader. In 1997, I came back to Virginia Beach and became employed with Harrington Graphics. I eventually moved on to Ameri-Signs and Design, which I managed for 8 years before getting licensed in real estate.

Since joining Howard Hanna, I continue to enhance my knowledge of the business.
