Originally from Ohio, Renee attended university and worked in California before moving to Mills River. WNC has been home for Renee and her family for 21 years. When they first visited, Asheville struck them as a mini San Francisco. She loves the mountains and the perfect climate after living in various parts of the country.

Renee has three children, two who have attended UNCA and NC State. When she isn’t working, Renee enjoys hiking, especially by many of the region’s gorgeous streams and rivers. She also enjoys gardening, swimming and cooking as well as reading everything from history and fiction to mystery. Asheville has so many restaurants which Renee enjoys exploring.
