Melissa Cowman

Growing up in a small Midwestern town in Illinois, strong family and Christian values were instilled in me early in life and continue to be at the core of my essence.  I have been working in and around the real estate business for 28 years.  Starting my career by searching tittles, serving as a real estate closing agent, a real estate paralegal and finally a real estate broker.

I have been married to my husband Ron for 28 years and am a mother of three ( Madison, Mitchell & Mason).  Our family has moved 9 times due to my husband's career; each move provided a unique perspective and commitment to relocation and the ever so important task of not only finding the perfect home but the perfect community and environment for the family  These learning experiences will be to the benefit of my buyers and sellers, as I understand the gravity of such an important decision as buying and selling a home.  It is just not a home that is being transacted, but the lives of those in ad around the home.  

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2017 and am a survivor!  You will always see pink on or around me, including my pink convertible bug.  I attacked this challenge as I have attacked all challenges before me, head on and with a positive winning attitude and continue to do so, winning the battle every day.  I will bring this fighting attitude to each and every one that I work with and for, constantly and ethically representing the best interest of my clients. 

Our latest move and likely our last, has been to Oak Ridge, NC in June of 2020.  I am so excited to be a part of the Triad community.  The atmosphere, industry, schools, culture and opportunities are  beyond amazing.  Each day I wake up with a passion to help my clients indulge in all that the Triad has to offer.
