Formerly farm land in Butler County, the borough of Seven Fields is surrounded by Cranberry Township, Adams Township, and Pine Township. Mars Road, or PA State Route 228, runs through the heart of Seven Fields, with various shops, restaurants, and places of interest along the main throughway. Mars Road also provides quick access to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, other areas south via I-79 and I-279, including PNC Park, Heinz Field, and Consol Energy Center, and the Prime Outlets in Grove City to the north.
Some additional attractions in Seven Fields include the annual Seven Fields Community Day Carnival held in September, the Seven Fields Municipal Park, the Seven Fields Community Center, the Seven Fields Town Park Pool, and Kaufman Run, which winds through Seven Fields.
