About Manchester

Manchester is a small village located in the southeastern part of Michigan, near Ann Arbor. The area is known for its abundant festivals and community events, particularly the annual Chicken Broil in July. The River Raisin runs through Manchester, providing beautiful scenery for residents to enjoy.

The village hosts seasonal events year round. In the fall and winter months, residents and tourists can enjoy orchard tours, cash nights with prizes, Halloween and Christmas festivities and even ice skating parties! Popular spring and summer activities include farmers’ markets, the community fair, gazebo concerts, 4th of July celebrations, an Easter egg hunt, canoe races, golf outings and of course, the Manchester Chicken Broil, an annual event where approximately 10,000 meals are served within a four hour period with proceeds used to benefit local public institutions like schools, parks and libraries.

The community is tight-knit, with several organizations and clubs dedicated to preserving the area’s culture and history as a small, self-sustaining village. The residents are proud of their home, especially since it has avoided a lot of the pressures of urbanization and retains a nice small-town feel. Looking for homes for sale in Manchester?
