The heart of the community is its historic downtown. Visitors to the Olde Pickerington Village can enjoy a variety of events throughout the year, including the Chocolate Hop, Haunted Halloween, and a holiday event complete with carriage rides.

The Pickerington Local School District is very well-regarded. Opportunities for higher education also abound in the central Ohio area with eleven nearby colleges and universities, including The Ohio State University and the Lancaster campus of Ohio University.
