About Jamestown

Jamestown is a small borough located in the northwestern part of Mercer County. Located within 100 miles of Pittsburgh, Erie, Cleveland and Youngstown, Jamestown offers a quaint setting for its residents with access to all the wonderful amenities that the larger cities nearby have to offer.

The area contains several recreational outlets and is nicknamed the “Gateway to Pymatuning.” Outdoor enthusiasts love Jamestown for its multiple trails, including the Greenville-Jamestown Trail and the Pymatuning State Park Trail. Jamestown is also within close proximity to Pymatuning State Park, Pymatuning Reservoir, and a couple of State Game Lands.

Jamestown is home to several local businesses, and Combined Systems, Inc., a tactical weapons producer. The area is mainly residential, and most residents commute to a nearby larger town such as Hartstown, Adamsville, Greenville, Conneaut Lake or Meadville for work. Routes 58 and 322 run through Jamestown, making travel to and from the area very convenient.
