My name is Derek Fink, and I currently manage the Sidney Office of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. For the past six years, I have managed this office under the Brokerage, Home Experts Realty. Home Experts Realty was a Dayton based brokerage that was never farther north than Troy. After much discussion between my broker and I, we decided to launch the new Sidney office with myself and one other agent. The growth quickly escalated to 20 total agents and in 2023-2024; selling more homes than any other brokerage in Shelby County. As an individual agent, I was in the top 5 at Home Experts Realty for each of the last five years. I also was #1 in the company for units sold in 2023. However, it’s never been the individual accomplishments that I’ve been most proud of. I always say it’s no fun getting to the top all alone. As I’ve recruited over these last five years, I’ve recruited for excellence. I believe if you surround yourself with excellence, it helps you be excellent yourself. Ironically enough, when my amazing broker, Clyde Corle, made the decision to merge with Howard Hanna, I instantly saw this same philosophy. Home Experts Realty was amazing and it will always hold a dear place in my heart. However, there is no denying the fact that Howard Hanna is even more excellent. Being the #1 brokerage in Ohio already and merging with the #3 brokerage in the Miami Valley, that created an even more exceptional group than I could have ever dreamed up myself. I’m excited for all the cutting edge technology and resources now provided through this merger. We truly are better together! My philosophy from day one has always been, “If I take care of people everything else will take care of itself”. I will continue to serve my clients with the same “client first” passion that has existed from day one.
