-  Founder & Chairman of the Board of Arms of an Angel Foundation, 2009, in honor of our son, Carl, who  

   passed Feb. 15, 2009, of an accidental heroin overdose. Foundation is for education & awareness to parents &

   youth on drugs, especially in Small Town America. I freely and regularly speak on this important topic and am  

   available to speak nationwide. Have spoken to 20,000+ young people so far and dozens and dozens Rotaries,     Kiwanis, PTO’s, and congregatons, etc. Was a member of the Attorney General’s Advisory Council on Prescription Drug Abuse, under Governor Kasich and Attorney General Mike Dewine. Also on 5 County Regional Drug Task Force.                               

- In 2017 & 2018 & again in 2024, our foundation has raised $97,000 for Mount Vernon Police and Knox County Sheriff’s Departments to get their first five K-9 units…A passion of ours. Still collecting for more communities and causes.

- Honored as Ohio Association of Realtors’s 2015 ‘Community Service Award, presented to an individual REALTOR who has shown exemplary commitment to community service.

   -  Years of involvement in local community & schools: Past board member of Red Cross; Past Board member,   

   Area Development Foundation. Local School Funding Committees; Chamber of Commerce; Rotary, Jaycees; 

   Mount Vernon High School Class of ‘74 Reunion Organizer every five years.

-  Extensive background in marketing, advertising & graphics & communication. 

-  Vast Experience in Photography. I take great pride in the quality and quantity of my home photos on line, including videos & drone shots.. 

-  Surveying & drafting experience, back in the ‘80’s, Tracy & Mills Surveyors, (comes in handy in this business)

-  Mount Vernon H.S. Class President 3 years. 

-  Ohio University President of Class of ’77; commencement speaker in front of 16,000 parents and guests.

-  Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at OU. Still active in supporting the fraternity and lots of activities with my brothers.

-  Interests & Hobbies: Following the lives of our children & ten grandchildren; remodeling & landscaping our   

   home, following the Reds, Tribe, Buckeyes, OU Bobcats, Bengals & Browns. Hiking & getting in shape for my 100^th Birthday Party, on 9/14/2055. (I’m serious). Enjoy hand gun target shooting. Both Ellen & I have CCW licenses and I train and practice regularly, and carry every day (you’ll be safe with me).

-  I enjoy my real estate profession so much, it is a 24/365 interest of mine. In my 29^th year, with every intention of going at least another 20-30 years…I LOVE MY CAREER! (I’m sellingl dirt ‘til they put me in it).

-  Honest & well respected in the community…Lifelong resident that cares about the area…and my clients. I’m in

   it for “the long haul”. Always available. Will respond to texts almost 24/7.

-         And just completed my 45th straight year of doing Santa Clause in the area…mostly now, just for children and grandchildren of family, friends and clients. ( I have connections with the big guy )

-         Other things that have added to my “common-sense”, broad experience: Student Pilot, Soloed on my 16^th birthday; Mission trip to Haiti at age 16; Vocational Agriculture and FFA member in HS; FFA Debate Team; Traveled the state singing with Up With People in late 60’s, early ‘70’s; Several years of experience in Boy Scouts, Vast photography experience; leadership training in Jaycees; Mount Vernon 150^th Birthday Parade Chairman. Problem Solver & Eternal Optimist (and class clown).
