With roots long and deep, connecting me to Penn Yan, Keuka Lake, and all the Finger Lakes, I am thrilled to be an active agent with Howard Hanna Lake Group, with the goal of bringing people home to this wonderful location.
"Keuka Lake-loving DNA is in my bones. I know how to find what you are looking for! Whether it's a lakefront home, hillside retreat with acres of privacy or a historic village house, I know this area inside out. Selling or buying, let my local and worldly knowledge work for you! If you're in the mood, we can house hunt by boat, even to the Village!"
Specialties
Mary was born and raised on Keuka Lake and then in the Village of Penn Yan, giving her the best of all worlds. Raising two daughters in Connecticut, Pittsford and New York City with summers on Keuka Lake brought the balance they all loved. After launching children, she went on to live in Boston, New Jersey, Ft. Lauderdale, and finally, permanently, Keuka Lake.
“Trust me, I know what it means to move a family. We have been fortunate enough to live in some wonderful places, but it is always such a relief to come home to the Finger Lakes. There’s no place like it on earth” said Mary. “We have bought and sold and rented more homes than most. No wonder real estate is my passion!”
Mary began her career in Broadcasting working for the CBS News Division in the Broadcast Center on West 57th Street in New York City. She later went on to become a writer, reporter, producer, and eventually, news and programming promotion manager.
While raising children, Mary was involved in Girl Scouts, tutoring in the inner city, religious education, promotion and freelance projects for the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Foundation. She continues to write articles for the local papers highlighting local grant projects and their progress.
Today, she is on the Board of the Yates Community Endowment, a member of Lakeside Country Club and active in the Cupola Restoration Project and "Krossin Keuka", the annual swim across the lake to raise funds for the local Hospice House - Keuka Comfort Care. Mary has participated in the Town of Milo Comprehensive Planning Committee and the Vision 20/20 Charette. She is a lover of all things outdoors: golf, swimming, water skiing, tennis, biking, walking, and hiking the gorges.
