Meet Phil Thompson

For me, real estate is not simply about property—it is about helping people make informed, confident decisions during some of life’s most important transitions.

As a North Carolina real estate professional with Howard Hanna in Troutman, I serve buyers and sellers throughout Iredell, Alexander, and Wilkes counties. Living in Alexander County gives me a personal appreciation for the communities, small towns, rural properties, and changing real estate market across this part of North Carolina.

I bring decades of service, leadership, and business experience to my real estate career. I am a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, retired from the United States Army, and served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. My military background taught me the importance of preparation, integrity, attention to detail, and following through on every commitment.

As the owner of a home-based travel agency, I also have extensive experience helping clients navigate complicated decisions involving contracts, deadlines, budgets, and numerous moving parts. I understand how overwhelming a major purchase can feel, and I believe my clients deserve clear explanations, honest answers, and dependable guidance—not pressure.

I am especially committed to helping clients who may feel uncertain or intimidated by the real estate process. I take the time to listen, explain each step in plain language, and make sure my clients understand their options before making a decision.

When I am not assisting clients, I enjoy nearly every form of woodworking. My projects range from building furniture to using laser and CNC equipment to create signs and other custom-designed products. Woodworking satisfies both my creative and practical sides, and it has further strengthened my appreciation for craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and the details that make a house feel like home.

Although real estate is a new chapter in my professional life, serving others is not. My clients benefit from a lifetime of leadership, problem-solving, business ownership, and commitment to doing what is right.
