With over 20 years of experience in the Brevard market, Billy Harris excels in understanding buyers and sellers needs and expertly guiding them through the transaction, taking care of all of the little details. He has been consistently ranked as one of the top Real Estate Brokers in WNC. In 2021, Billy was recognized as the Number 2 Sales Agent out of the Top 10 agents at Beverly-Hanks, Realtors, with $47,154,227 in sales. Team Billy Harris also had a very successful year altogether, with over $64 million in sales.In 2022, he was the Number 9 Sales Agent out of the Top 10.
Billy started his career with Keller Williams and quickly became one of the top producing Brokers in Transylvania County with a focus on lot sales and acreage tracts for private estates, conservation easements, and developments. In 2004 he was hired by McKee Properties out of Cashiers to open Straus Park Realty in Brevard where he was Broker in Charge for four years. His role was not only selling developer property but project management of the community. This involved completing the city infrastructure and commercial development of a grocery store, and a 16,000 square foot commercial condominium space.
In 2008 Billy joined Steve Owen and Associates and became Broker in Charge of their Portfolio division focusing on marketing luxury and unique properties and large acreage tracts. Over the past 10 years Billy has continued to rank as one of the top Brokers in the WNC Region and is in the top three Brokers for vacant land sales.

Personal Experience
Billy Harris first arrived in the US in 1992 and worked eight summers as a summer camp soccer coach in the Adirondacks in New York. After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in England he set out on a four-year adventure, traveling and working his way through Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand, and North America. He then settled here in Brevard 2002 and coached soccer at Camp High Rocks.
Billy began his real estate career in Brevard in 2003 and has successfully been helping buyers and sellers ever since. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking and running in DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Most mornings before work you can follow him on his Peloton rides.
Billy also served on the Transylvania Youth Soccer Board and coached youth soccer. Family is an important aspect of his life. He and wife Kristy were married at “Pretty Place” at YMCA camp Greenville in 2003 and live in Cedar Mountain with their daughters Emma and Lucy. We can’t forget about their chocolate labs, too!
Billy believes his success in helping buyers find the perfect property in Western NC is, “due to enjoying what I do, caring about people and working hard.” Giving back to his community is also very important, and he is an active member of the Pisgah Forest Rotary Club.
