Introduction
We all have a story, a story that includes how we arrived in the North Carolina Mountains or tales of growing up here as a local. When it comes to a real estate transaction, Amanda believes, “There is usually a win/win scenario for all involved, sometimes it just takes a little creativity, communication, and compassion. We love to facilitate the process! Helping others get what they want is a meaningful and gratifying experience.”
Education
Amanda comes from a long line of educators. She holds a Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist, and a Bachelor’s Degree certified in Special and Elementary Education. As a child and teenager, Amanda traveled to Central America during the summer, assisting with humanitarian efforts to improve the quality of life for others, giving her a more global perspective. Everyone deserves a place to call HOME. It comes natural for us to promote the mountain lifestyle that we enjoy here in the Blue Ridge.
Work Experience
After selling real estate as an individual agent since 2013, Amanda joined her husband Ben to create the Hill Team and worked together for a number of years successfully in the business. Ben received the company award for the Biggest Business Increase his first year in 2015. Ben holds a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and returned to his first love of counseling starting his private practice in November 2025. Amanda and Ben both joined McElroy Ellege & Company, an award winning team of top producers in 2025. Amanda continues to broker transactions full time and Ben has transitioned to a licensed real estate assistant role with consistent referral activity.
Preferred Skills
Amanda’s interest in real estate and home design piqued after they successfully acted as general contractors building their own home here in the mountains. She stays active serving the local community and was a director of the Haywood Realtor Association for many years. She was voted MVP of the Waynesville office in 2024 by her peers and has been awarded Monthly Top Performer and Quarterly VIP Status, as well as Chairman's Circle Achievement multiple times through her career. Her keen communication abilities, emotional intelligence, honorable integrity and effective negotiation skills make her a valuable asset in the industry.
Amanda and her husband Ben have two daughters, both attending App State - roll 'neers! They all enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, and snowboarding.

You may often hear me say, "It is an easy task for me to promote the laid back mountain culture that I enjoy as well as the active lifestyle that all four seasons provide here in Western North Carolina." For recreation, I frequently join my husband and daughters for energetic mountain activities such as hiking, camping, biking and snowboarding.
When it comes to real estate transactions, I believe, "There is always a win/win scenario for everyone involved, sometimes it just takes a little creativity, communication and compassion. I love to facilitate the process! Helping OTHERS get what THEY want is a meaningful and gratifying experience."
I am truly enjoying living out my dreams in Western North Carolina, and I enjoy helping others realize their own as well. I chose a career in the housing industry because I love people and have a passion to see families and individuals thrive. After successfully acting as the general contractor while building my own personal home here in the mountains, my interest for real estate and house design increased even more.
I have always felt it important and fulfilling to be actively involved in the community in which I live. I have enjoyed serving as a board member in my local Homeowner's Association and am also dedicated to my professional organization as a member of the Haywood County Board of REALTORS.
