Originally from Oklahoma and raised in Eastern North Carolina, Dusty has resided in Boone for the past 26 years. She is an alumnus of Appalachian State University, where she earned a degree in Design and Marketing.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dusty actively participates in local festivals, engages in decorating and design, tends to her garden, and enjoys the various recreational opportunities available in the High Country with her husband, Phil, their two teenage children, Selah (22) and Lex (19), and their two dogs, Millie and Jagger. Furthermore, Dusty demonstrates a strong commitment to community engagement by leading the Community Outreach initiative for the High Country Association of Realtors.
