Hi there! I’m Sherry Lee Cavallaro. Being the 5th of 7 children and then the mom of 3, I learned excellent negotiation skills :) You must be an expert scheduler, problem-solver, and organizer to manage the daily schedule of three independent children involved with school, after school activities and a social life I envied!
When the children were older, I found my passion in real estate. In 2003, thoroughly encouraged by friends and family, I was led into my dream career of helping others buy & sell real estate. All my experiences leading up to it taught me to dive in headfirst, and again, how to negotiate.
My first year I was Rookie of the Year, Top Producer & President's Council Award winner! Every listing and sale in real estate is unique and, in the years, since I started my experience has grown. Over the years I learned so much more than I ever expected, and I love to put experience to work for my clients. There are so many nuances to NY properties - from HUD homes & foreclosures to new construction & resales, to flips & luxury homes, to investments & multi-unit buildings… I’ve listed and sold them all!
My area of expertise is REAL ESTATE. I love to learn, meet people, and refuse to limit myself to specific area. I want to be the one you come to for any & all real estate related questions. The answer is never no in real estate if you KNOW how to find a solution.
My social life revolves around my family and my church. For many years, when the kids were young, I was the assistant religious education coordinator at St. Clare's Catholic Church in Colonie. Now I am a Deacon with the Restoration Hill Ministry... Deacon Sherry. Our focus is to support and help all the depressed, lost, people with addictions or anxiety, to find their way through the Lord. In my free time we are working to get the Cabbage Hill Youth Ranch up and running. We will be providing horse therapy and so much more for our young children and youths.
Having said all that, I absolutely LOVE First Time Buyers – it’s so exciting for me, walking them through the process from finding a mortgage broker for pre-approval, to finding the right house and guiding people through the excitement and stress for the first time. Especially so, the happiness after the closing – I love being able to say, “You did it! You just bought a home!” After all our work together, I am so excited to keep in touch… It’s so amazing seeing what people have done with their homes and how it changes with life and children and pets! When it’s time to move to a bigger home, or downsize or invest, my client friends remember me, because I'm Your Realtor For Life!
