Hello and Welcome!!!

After 40 years of assisting buyers and sellers here in the Greater Capital Region, my Team, Victoria M Gettings Team has evolved and come full circle.  I find myself picking and choosing who I work with, primarily Past Clients, Family and Friends and Referrals from this Sphere of Influence as well as 1st Time Homebuyers and Veterans.  I certainly work with new customers that reach out, but those that reach out on my listings or Sellers who want me to assist them with the sale of their homes/properties.  

 

What you get with working with me is an Experienced Real Estate Broker, who navigates you through this ever changing market.  Today is a Seller's Market, which typically means very little inventory and lots of buyers competing to purchase the same home.  If I'm working with the Seller, that means helping the Seller to prepare their home for sale to staging the initial showings to allow the most buyers in to see the home so we can entertain multiple offers.  I help navigate the qualifying aspects of each buyer so we choose the best offer that will work for the Seller's needs, which could be money or it could be the ability to find a buyer willing to wait for the Seller to find their next home.  I coordinate all of that. 

 

For the buyer in this Crazy Covid Market which is here to stay for awhile, helping you find and position yourself to compete with the other buyers offering on the home you wish you purchase. There are techniques I employ that help make your offer more favorable to the Seller.  There's no guarantee of course, but I do believe I can help give you an edge.

Thank you for stopping by to learn a little more about me and my background, which is truly my pleasure to share with you.

I originally licensed in 1981 (over 40 years ago) with the goal of helping others to invest in real estate and it snowballed from there. From the mid 80's to mid 90's, I ran my own real estate company, Victoria G Realty and later Century 21 Victoria's Corner. In 1995 myself and 27 agents joined RealtyUSA. In addition to my own sales, I co-managed one of their offices and later headed up their Training & Recruiting Division.

However in 2005 I chose to go back into sales full time because I just love it. I love helping others achieve their real estate goals. RealtyUSA is now Howard Hanna Real Estate Services having been bought out in 2016.

During my early years I was actively involved in giving back to our real estate association. I've been Past President of 2 real estate associations, Realtor of the Year twice and a Regional Vice President for our State Association of Realtors. I'm not as active today with the Associations allowing new people to fill the positions. I do however actively participate in Realtor Lobby Day each year to help support or oppose new legislation that affect our property rights and home ownership.

I strive to provide my clients with every imaginable service to assist them with their real estate goals. My strength lies in our ability to educate, market, negotiate and problem solve for you to get you to closing. But the service doesn't end there. You really become my Client for Life. I'm  hear to continue to assist you with Tax Grievance, recommendations for home upgrades, contractor referrals, real estate investment strategies and anything else pertaining to real estate.
