Howard Hanna values the military member’s service and commitment to this country. In recognition of the military’s contributions, we offer a specialized program called U.S. Military on the Move. 

The U.S. Military on the Move Program offers Cash Rewards,* Closing Cost Credits and other real estate related services for all Active Duty, Retired Military, Wounded Warrior and Department of Defense personnel when they buy or sell a home. 


Eligibility

In order to utilize this program, military personnel must first advance register with Howard Hanna’s Relocation & Business Development Department before listing their property as a seller, contacting a real estate agent, or initiating their home search as a buyer.

Home Sale

  • Complimentary Home Market Analysis by a specialized Howard Hanna Sales Associate
  • Home Sale - Cash Reward**  (based on home sale price and transaction side commission rate).

Home Purchase

  • Home Sale - Cash Reward** (based on home sale price and transaction side commission rate).  
  • Complimentary consultation with a Mortgage Professional through Hanna Financial, Towne Mortgage and 1st Priority Mortgage Services
  • $250-$400 - Closing Cost Credit when you obtain a first mortgage with Hanna Financial–Mortgage, Towne Mortgage, 1st Priority Mortgage Services and use Barristers Land Abstract Company for Closing and Escrow (where applicable)
  • Competitive rates on a full line of Insurance Services through Howard Hanna Insurance Services.
  • Moving and Home related services provided by various Service Providers (i.e. Moving Services, Carpeting, Home Improvement, Organizers, Guardian Protection Services, etc.)

  • Receive quality services from Howard Hanna sales associates who specialize in working with military members, who live and work in the market, and who are familiar with what’s involved in a military move.

  • When moving anywhere in the world, Howard Hanna’s Relocation & Business Development Department can refer to our Global Broker Network of over 500 premier real estate firms with 4,600 offices and 140,000 sales associates in over 30 countries around the world that also participate in the Military on the Move program.

Rentals

Although the Military on the Move program cannot be used for rentals, if a military member chooses to rent a home, our Howard Hanna Relocation and Business Development staff can still help. Our staff will provide comprehensive information about the area, counseling on local rental practices, and will even send information on listings that meet specific criteria.


** The military member must register before working with a Howard Hanna Sales Associate - Advance Registration is required.  Upon registration, confirmation you will receive a letter outlining your benefits. The Cash Reward is 20% of the commission earned by the Broker representing you on either the home purchase or home sale transaction side, and you must be represented by an assigned U.S. Military on the Move real estate firm at closing to qualify.  Cash Rewards are available in most states; some restrictions may apply.
