William Aiken

Senior Vice President

Only the BEST will do!

Bill Aiken, a Pittsburgh native and a graduate of Dickinson College, began his real estate career and his association with Howard Hanna in 1974.  He worked as a sales associate in the firm's Fox Chapel Office where he developed his absolute love ot the business.  In 1977, he was named Manager of the Fox Chapel Office - a position he held until 1984.  During this time frame, he helped develop the Allegheny Valley Office and the Distinctive Homes Division for Howard Hanna.  The Fox Chapel Office during Mr. Aiken's tenure first achieved a leadership position in its market area.

During 1984, Bill took over Howard Hanna's Sewickley Office where he continued as manager until 1990.  During this time, the Sewickley Office rose above its local competitors and achieved the top position in local share.  Here, too, as in the case of the Fox Chapel Office, Mr. Aiken's emphasis was on "higher end" properties and the overall success of the agents.

From 1990 until 1994, Mr. Aiken managed the Upper St. Clair Office and created a cadre of successful agents who over-took the market with a reigning market share.

From Upper St. Clair, Bill was sent to the flagship office of Howard Hanna - the Shadyside Office -  where success within its market had already become a tradition.  With local market shares well in excess of fifty per cent,  the Shadyside Office continues today as one of the very top offices within the Hanna organization.

The Shadyside Office is comprised of many "seasoned pro's"  who year after year continue to out-do themselves in terms of production and income.  Newly licensed sales associates who join the Shadyside Office very often earn the coveted "Rookie of the Year" award within their region.

Mr. Aiken's philosophy of hard work coupled with a "love of the business" creates a very productive and highly successful career environment as evidenced by the  high ranking performance records of the offices that he has managed.  During the course of his career, too,  Mr. Aiken has had the pleasure of working alongside many, many agents who were the most successful ot their day.

If you are interested in learning more about a career in real estate within a highly motived  work environment or if you are looking to buy or sell a property through the Shadyside Office, please contact Bill Aiken at 412/361-4000 x247 or baiken
