I never pressure my buyers into making a decision to purchase a home. Being knowledgeable of home construction, I assist my buyers by pointing out the positives and negatives of every house I show. But, it is up to my clients, not me, to make the final decision of which house suits their wants and needs.
For my sellers, I suggest ways for them to make their home more appealing to potential buyers, I provide them with a report (comparitive market analysis) that gives them an idea of what their home is worth, based on similar houses recently sold in their area, and I ask them what they might want highlighted in their written listings on the Multiple Listing Service(MLS). Even though I am the professional; it's your home, you should have a say in how it's presented.
When I am making a large capital purchase or investment, there are three things I look for in the person I want to work with: knowledge, honesty and trustworthiness. I believe most people would like to have these qualities in their real estate agent. These are qualities that I possess and have used in my professional and volunteer experiences; and continue to use with my clients.
