More about Debbie…
With over 25 years in the real estate industry, Debbie understands how important communication is with clients and customers. Debbie started her career as a real estate agent, was a mortgage loan officer for 10+ years, was Vice-President of a real estate firm in Stafford/Fredericksburg, VA which she owned with her husband for 15 years, and ultimately, became a Property Manager in 2009 for a firm in Northern Virginia. After moving to Chesapeake, VA in July 2012, she has been employed as a Property Manager and has achieved the Circle of Excellence, Distinguished Property Manager Award from the Hampton Roads Realtors Association since 2013 for her dedication to the property management profession.
Knowledge is power. Debbie stays abreast of the ever-changing Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act (VRLTA) by attending the property management conference each fall as well as numerous property management seminars and educational opportunities throughout each year. She is a member of the Hampton Roads Realtor Association Property Management and Leasing Council. And, any time “Chip” Dicks, a staunch supporter and author of numerous bills and addenda to the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act, is in the area giving seminars, she is in attendance!
In addition to the 100+ single family properties, Debbie is managing several resort properties in the North End of Virginia Beach which requires attention to detail as well as effective communication with both the owner and the guest of each property for each week during the summer season.
An avid NASCAR fan and the mother of a son who works in the racing industry for Team Penske and a daughter who works for C & F Mortgage as a Disclosure Desk Manager and a Regulatory Trainer, as well as a grandmother to the love of her life, Luke, "fast paced" is a way of life for Debbie and her family. The property management field is no exception. Effective communication is a must!
