Daniel Powell is the Manager of Business Development for the Rochester, NY Region of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.
As the Manager of Business Development I am involved in various initiatives for Howard Hanna in the Rochester, NY Region. My responsibilities include but are not limited to Training, Development, Recruitment, and Retention of Real Estate Agents in our region.
Training and Development are both crucial to starting your real estate career and to having a successful real estate business.
I am committed to the training and development of new agents. We teach our new agents how to utilize Howard Hanna’s Superior Tools/Technology to grow and market their business. We also provide an extensive training program designed to give new agents a jump start in their business.
I am also committed to the training and development of experienced agents. Utilizing the superior tools/technology and extensive training Howard Hanna offers will give experienced agents the ability to increase their business while reducing risks.

Career Seminars – twice a month I conduct career seminars for anyone interested in a career in real estate. One seminar is conducted at our career center in Henrietta, NY the other is conducted at our State Corporate Office in downtown Rochester, NY. These seminars are free to attend.

Fast Start Training – We offer an extensive classroom training program designed to give new agents a solid foundation to build a successful career on. Experienced agents are always encouraged to refresh their skills by taking one of the program modules.
Mentor Program – After successful completion of the Fast Start Training new agents are assigned a mentor (an experienced successful agent). The mentor will provide personal training and coaching until the new agent is able to perform the real estate duties on their own.
Career Center Classroom Training – We provide ongoing classroom training for all aspects of the real estate business. Our wide variety of classes offered gives Howard Hanna agents the educational advantage to lead the real estate industry. These classes are Free to Agents and Staff.
Hanna University – Each agent is given access to a catalog of online courses that are used to increase knowledge and professionalism of a Howard Hanna Real Estate Agent.
Training/Mentoring at the Branch Office – Through regular communication and office visits I act as a liaison and resource for consistent education and training throughout the region.

I grew up in the Rochester NY area and graduated from Monroe Community College with distinction. I have also studied at SUNY Brockport and SUNY Empire State.
After 25 years of service, I retired from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in 2015. I served eight years in the United States Navy Reserves and received an Honorable Discharge. Currently I am a member of the American Legion.
I am a "Full Time" Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker, and have been selling real estate for almost 10 years. In addition to real estate I have extensive experience in Home Inspections, FHA 203k Consulting, Property Values, Radon Testing and more.
