We all have had a series of stepping stones and experiences in life that may be transferable into a real estate career!

My career in real estate started over 30 years ago right out of college. Real Estate was a career which would allow me to be home during the day and schedule most of my appointments when my husband was home with our young children. The flexibility in this business makes it easy to raise a family! 

As time went on I realized I really enjoyed new construction; I worked exclusively on two large projects for a local builder over a period of about 8 years! This allowed me to use creativity to help optimize floor plans and customize them to the buyer’s needs. I also love the building of relationships as the building process went on and being the liaison between the customers and the builders.

About 15 years into my career, I developed a passion for training and coaching! This passion was dormant in me until I enrolled in a Dale Carnegie Training Course. This training was very impactful to my real estate career! After taking every Dale Carnegie Course available, I began training and giving workshops for that companies all over Northeast Ohio while still selling real estate. I would talk to companies, find out what issues they were having, and put together curriculum to address these issues. It was fun for me to find interactive, engaging activities to get adults to identify areas in which they could improve then provide practical concepts for their personal development!

After doing some First Time Buyer & Soft Skill workshops for the Cleveland Clinic, I was offered a position as an Educational Partner responsible for training other caregivers employed by the Clinic on various programs and systems. I worked on a team responsible for “on boarding” the doctors and the staff within their practices that were joining the Clinic. I traveled around training these new employees and providing them on-site support at their locations all over the state of Ohio, helping to integrate them. However I missed having control over my schedule and flexibility to "do my life."

In 2016 I was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to step into the management for the Chesterland office of Howard Hanna. That position fit me like a glove and I was excited to employ my knowledge and expertise of real estate and be able utilize my training, coaching & mentoring skills to assist agents. Helping new agents (like you) build their business is my true passion!

If you are thinking you need a change in careers; think about about the leanings and other skills you have gathered from other roles in life thus far and how they may help you build a real estate practice! My other experiences gave me the tools to lead, grow, inspire and motivate my team of dynamic real estate agents in the Chesterland office.
